Can you deliver a dumpster if I am not at home or on site?
When do I pay for my dumpster?
The base hauling fee & tonnage outlined in your proposal will be charged in order to reserve your delivery and pickup dates. Secondary charges occur only if the pick up date exceeds the time limit allowed, the weight of the material in the dumpster exceeds the included tonnage, the material in the dumpster exceeds the top of the wall edge, there are hazardous items loaded that can't go in, there are extra-cost items loaded (such as mattresses, tires or appliances), or other additional services are selected. Please ask for a proposal for more information!
What can't I put in my dumpster?
Paint, batteries and other hazardous items, liquid waste, asbestos, fuel oil, diesel and pressurized tanks can't go in, and neither can household garbage. Some concrete or brick can go in with other debris; a large amount is often cheaper in its own container. Green waste and dirt can't be mixed with other debris and need their own clean load. Mattresses and box springs can go in a container, but each one costs extra. Mattress pickup is an occasional service we run on a set schedule, roughly every other month, not something available any day, week or time of year. Tell us about any mattresses when you book and we'll explain your options, including when the next scheduled pickup is planned.
Hazardous Waste or Liquid Waste: Paint, gasoline, oil, solvents, chemicals, household cleaners, fire extinguishers, batteries, propane tanks / compressed gas cylinders, fluorescent lights /tubes and CFL bulbs. Hazardous Materials or Any Type of Toxic Waste: Asbestos or Asbestos containing materials. Mercury containing items or poisons. Other Items: Sealed drums and oil tanks. Garbage and Municipal solid waste: NO household garbage, food waste or municipal solid waste. Household junk, furniture and cleanout items are fine. Masonry: Asphalt, concrete, block, brick, rubble, stone and sand. Some can go in with other debris; a large amount is often cheaper in a dedicated masonry container. Yard Waste and Dirt: Brush, trees, branches, leaves, grass, shrubs, clippings, mulch, other organic materials and dirt can't be mixed with other debris. Order a dedicated container for a clean load.
What size dumpster do I need?
A 10 yard covers one room, a garage, an apartment turnover or a bathroom tear-out. A 15 handles a kitchen, flooring or a small roof tear-off. A 20 fits a whole-house cleanout, a roof on an average house or a single-unit commercial fit-out. A 25 covers a large estate cleanout, a whole-floor remodel or an addition. A 30 is for new construction, full interior demo and multi-unit turnovers. Tell us what's going in and we'll recommend a size.
