If you've never rented a dumpster before, this page walks you through it. Plymouth Dumpster Rental handles dumpster rentals across the South Shore of Massachusetts, from our base in Plymouth. For towns, sizes and pricing, see our South Shore dumpster rental page.
1. Figure out what's going in
Make a rough list of the materials and how much there is. Mixed household items are light for their size. Shingles, plaster, tile and concrete are heavy. That one detail matters more than anything else when choosing a size.
2. Choose the container
We rent 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 yard roll-offs. As a rule of thumb, a 10 yard container holds about three pickup loads, and a 20 yard about six. If you're torn between two sizes, call. We'd rather help you pick the right one than swap it later.
3. Pick the spot
The container needs a flat, firm surface, room for the truck to back in, and clear space overhead. Most people use the driveway. Putting it on the street usually requires a town permit, and the rules differ from town to town.
4. Book
Call or text 508-466-5460 or book at southshoredumpster.com/book. Tell us the address, the size, your drop date and anything tricky about the site.
5. Load it right
Keep debris level with or below the top edge. Put heavy items on the bottom and spread them out. Don't load hazardous materials, paint, tires, batteries or liquids.
6. Pickup
Call when you're done, or we'll pick it up on the scheduled day. Loads go to a licensed facility, and recyclable material is separated where possible.
