Since November 2022, mattresses and box springs can't go out with the rest of a load. They have to be kept separate and sent to a mattress recycler, where the steel, foam and fabric are pulled apart for reuse. That applies to homes, landlords and businesses alike.

If a mattress or box spring is part of a bigger cleanout, tell us how many when you book. They're handled separately from the rest of the container, and we'll walk you through how that works for your job before delivery. Don't bury them under other debris; a mattress found in a mixed load can hold up the whole container.

We pick up mattresses and box springs as an occasional service on a set schedule, roughly every other month. It isn't available on demand or at any time of year, so tell us how many you have when you book and we'll let you know when the next scheduled pickup is planned.

A 10 yard container covers one or two rooms. A 15 or 20 yard handles a whole-house cleanout. A 25 or 30 yard covers an estate or a multi-unit turnover. Furniture and bedding are light for their size, so volume, not weight, usually decides the container.
