Peak Renovation Season: Driveway Protection, Access and Placement

Spring and summer are peak renovation season on the South Shore. Many containers go out on the same weeks, so a little planning keeps your delivery quick and your driveway intact. Call or text 508-466-5460 or book online.

Protect the driveway

  • Ask for boards. Planks under the container rails spread the load and help prevent marks.
  • Avoid fresh asphalt. New pavement needs time to cure, so give it a few weeks or place the container elsewhere.
  • Pavers and stone. These can shift under weight. Boards help, and a gravel area may be better.
  • Hot days. Asphalt softens in summer heat, so boards matter even more.

Plan truck access

The roll-off truck needs:

  • Room to back in straight, plus extra length beyond the container
  • Overhead clearance with no low wires or branches
  • A firm path that won't rut under a loaded truck

Choose the spot

  • Close to the work, to cut down on carrying
  • Not blocking garage doors you'll need
  • Clear of septic systems, leach fields and wells
  • Visible to the driver

On delivery day

Mark the spot, move cars, and leave a phone number for the driver. If you won't be home, send a photo of where the container should go.

Neighbors

A quick heads-up to the neighbors about the project and the container goes a long way, especially on tight streets.

FAQ

How fast can you deliver, swap or pick up a dumpster?

We strive for same-day and next-day service. But with the seasonality and nature of the business, between trucking, logistics and inventory, it's best to plan 1–2 days ahead for deliveries, swaps and pickups. Timing can also depend on how far out you are. Either way, our goal is to meet or exceed your expectations. Emergency and storm cleanup jobs may carry an added charge. Tip: if you know when you'll need a swap or pickup, pre-schedule it. If it turns out you don't need it or you're not ready yet, changes and cancellations are much easier to make. Cancel by the day before and there's no cancellation charge. Pre-scheduling keeps us in position to serve you best.
